Kanye West Reportedly Leaves JAY-Z's Tidal Due to Money Dispute
Kanye West is reportedly done with Tidal.
After West's former close pal, JAY-Z, slammed West on his exclusive Tidal album, 4:44, the "Fade" rapper has parted ways with the music streaming service, Billboard reported on Thursday. According to multiple reports, the root of their dispute is over money.
Tidal's exclusivity rights to West's music has been terminated based on what is alleged to be Tidal's failure to honor its financial obligations, a source close to West told the magazine.

ET has reached out to reps for comment.
In 4:44's opening track, "Kill Jay Z," JAY-Z claims he gave West $20 million, and also slammed West for his infamous concert rant against him last October.
"You dropped outta school, you lost your principles," JAY-Z raps, referencing West's debut album, The College Dropout, which he executive produced. "I know people backstab you, I felt bad too, but this 'f**k everybody' attitude ain't natural. But you ain't a Saint, this ain't KumbaYe. But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye."
"You gave him 20 million without blinkin'," he continues. "He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinkin'? 'F**k wrong with everybody?' is what you sayin', But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane."
However, according to TMZ, West has complained that Tidal owes him more than $3 million, and that he allegedly never got a bonus he was supposed to get after his The Life of Pablo album resulted in 1.5 million new Tidal subscribers. West is also reportedly complaining that Tidal reneged on reimbursing him for music videos, though TMZ also reports that Tidal's position is that West didn't deliver the videos required by the contract.
Still, 40-year-old West looked unbothered on Sunday, when he was all smiles sitting down to a home-cooked meal by his wife, Kim Kardashian West. The couple was also joined by rapper 2Chainz and his family.
