Maksim Chmerkovskiy is already teaching his 3-month-old son the basics of basketball!
The Dancing With the Stars pro took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a sweet moment of the two bonding over Chmerkovskiy's favorite sport outside of dance.

In the pic, the proud father appears shirtless, watching the NBA Playoffs on TV while holding baby Shai in his lap. He didn't mention who snapped this pic, but we're guessing it was taken by his fiancée (and Shai's mama!), Peta Murgatroyd.
"When mommy says 'no TV' but it's the playoffs!" Chmerkovskiy captioned it. "I'm not trying to make my son like the same things I do. I'm just 'gently whispering' to him why Jordan is the #GOAT, @KobeBryant is second GOAT-est, @BrooklynNets is our team and @KingJames and @russwest44 are our favorite players right now ;)"
And if that weren't cute enough, his hashtags were equally adorable -- "#babyChmerkovskiy #BasicEducation#WatermellonAndHoneyThough."

Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd have been spending a lot more time with baby Shai now that they've both been eliminated from season 24 of DWTS. Murgatroyd and her partner, Bachelor star Nick Viall, were the most recent pair to be sent home, just one week after Chmerkovskiy and Heather Morris were shockingly booted off during the dance competition show's sixth week.
