John Legend is looking forward to spending the holidays with his little family.
The 37-year-old singer was a guest on Friday's Good Morning America, where he couldn't stop smiling when chatting about what he and wife Chrissy Teigen are doing to gear up for daughter Luna's first Christmas.

"Christmas with Luna is going to be really exciting," he gushed. "It's the first time at our new house, we've never had our own Christmas at home. We usually travel somewhere, go to a family member's house and we go on vacation."
"This is our first time actually having a tree at home, in our new place," he added. "And we have a new baby. It's pretty exciting."
Although Legend admits this Christmas is sure to be filled with plenty of surprises with their 7-month-old daughter, he joked that there's one gift he already knows is coming.
"[Chrissy] gets me a bag every year," he said. "Because I'm a simple guy, I travel all the time, and I like having a nice bag to put my computer in."
Holidays aside, Legend also discussed his new album, Darkness and Light, which dropped on Friday.
"I feel good about it," he said. "The thing is, you can't believe the artists when they tell you it's their best work, because every artist thinks their current album is their best album, because they just spent all this time working on it. But a lot of my friends and people around me really feel like we put something really special into this album, and I'm just excited for people to finally hear it."
"I think [what's different about it is] just growing up," he continued. "Having been married for a few years, and having a baby, and all those other things, I think it just informs your perspective a bit and it makes you look at the world a little bit differently. It helped me write songs, and be inspired to write better music, I think."
Ahead of the album's release, Legend celebrated Teigen's 31st birthday with a series of sweet Instagram posts and a getaway to Mexico.

"We had a nice time in Mexico," he said. "It was just the two of us in Cabo, and we just spent three days. We have a lot of work to do and I have an album to promote, but we wanted to spend a few days just relaxing."
