Eddie Redmayne is loving being a first-time father.
Eddie Redmayne is on top of the world both in his personal and professional life.
The 34-year-old Oscar winner stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Wednesday, when he talked about being a first-time father to his daughter, Iris. Redmayne and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, welcomed her in June.
"She is heaven," Redmayne sweetly gushes.
But the British actor admits he's definitely sleep deprived.
"It's worth it because, occasionally, there's that amazing thing where it's three o'clock in the morning and you go in, and you're sort of gently furious, and then you get a little smile, and your heart breaks a bit, and it's totally worth it," he says.
Redmayne is starring in the highly anticipated Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them -- out Nov. 18 -- and says J.K. Rowling fans definitely won't be disappointed.
"When I read this script, I didn't know what to expect and it blew my mind," he says. "There are some great surprises and one wonderful surprise that I'm really excited about."
Redmayne is looking forward to starring in more films in the franchise after Rowling announced last month that there will actually be five Fantastic Beasts films total.
"You'll be very busy for the next while," DeGeneres comments.
"I might be, yeah. It might be a while," Redmayne agrees.
