He also wrote her a special note on Instagram.
Bittersweet goodbyes! Amber Rose and her dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars on Monday night, but the pair remained positive about their experience.
“I’m sad, but I feel like I came really far,” Rose told ET after the show. “I fell in love with everyone here. Everyone’s just amazing. The person who’s going to win, deserves to win, whoever that is.”
The TV personality took to Instagram to personally thank her partner, Chmerkovskiy, in a goofy backstage pic.
“Although our time was cut short @maksimc I’m so happy I had the chance to experience this with you!” she wrote. “You truly are my brother for life! Who knew we would become so close in such a short amount of time? Thank you for not giving up on me and getting to know the real me with no judgment. I’ll love you forever for that reason and I’ll always have ur back through whatever. I’ll miss our stressed out rehearsals more than anything tho. Love Amberony.”
Chmerkovskiy mirrored the sentiment in his own post, writing, “My dearest Amberony! Thank you for some of the best weeks of my @dancingabc career! You’ve not let me down and only made me more and more proud each week. You’ve become a friend and an older sister (although you’re younger…you know what I mean), and this is definitely just the beginning of ‘Amber and Maks’.”
The longtime dance pro returned to DWTS this season after taking some time off from the show, but won’t be back for Season 24.
Speaking with ET after the results, Chmerkovskiy, who is expecting his first child with fellow pro Peta Murgatroyd, said, "There's no way! He's going to be a month and half old [when the new season starts] and I'm gonna say, 'Ok, I'll see you in 3 months buddy?' No, that's not gonna happen."
