Gwen Stefani knows how unexpected life can be.
The This Is What the Truth Feels Like singer spoke to Ryan Seacrest on iHeartRadio’s KIIS-FM on Friday, where she opened up about the turns her life has taken in the past year, from her divorce, to her romance with Blake Shelton, and her return to the music scene as a solo artist.
"I never thought I would go back on tour," the 46-year-old artist shared. "It's so crazy to see the actual people that shared my story ... It was just incredible."

Stefani's tour winds down at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater -- which is bittersweet for the Orange County, California, native because after her concert, the venue is shutting down.
"I'm going to be closing the Irvine Meadows, which is exciting and devastating all at the same time," she said. "That's the place that I grew up going to, it's legendary, but I guess they're closing it. I get to be the closer."
So will Stefani bring out her No Doubt bandmates to bid the iconic venue a proper farewell?
"You never know what's gonna happen, right?" Stefani said, joking, "Look at my life."
By that, the singer is of course referring to the twists and turns her love life took last year after 13 years of marriage.
Stefani's heartbreak influenced her most recent album, and now, with a little more perspective, she's ready to keep carrying on.
