In December 2014, Malaak confirmed that she and Chris were going their separate ways. Malaak and Chris married in 1996 and have two daughters, Zahara, 12, and Lola, 14.
Papers filed on Monday state that the parties "resolved all issues regarding custody and parenting time and entered into a Custody and Access Agreement on March 11, 2015," but they do not specify the details of the settlement.
People reports that Chris, 51, and Malaak, 47, previously disagreed on the issue of whether Chris should support a South African child whom Malaak claimed they were raising as their own.

In Malaak's counterclaim to Chris' Dec. 23, 2015, divorce filing, she said there was a third child who had been living with them for years, but had not yet been legally adopted by either of them. According to People, Malaak pursued legal guardianship for adopting the child on her own after the divorce filing.
