The fashion entrepreneur -- who turned 36 on Sunday -- celebrated early with a relaxing beachside getaway on Thursday. She spent the day soaking up the sun and showing off her killer body in a red-and-yellow string bikini.

A few months after flaunting his six-pack during a vacation to Cabo San Lucas in January, Simpson's husband, former NFL pro Eric Johnson, stayed slightly more covered up while chatting with friends beside the water.
Last week the couple celebrated the third birthday of their son, Ace Knute, with a dinosaur-themed party. They posed for an adorable family photo at the fete that also included their 4-year-old daughter, Maxwell Drew. The kids weren't spotted during Thursday's island outing.
