The 62-year-old actor married Kimberly in 2004.
Dennis Quaid's wife, Kimberly, has filed for divorce. Again.
In court documents obtained by ET, the date of separation occurred on Monday, June 27.
"After careful consideration, we have decided to end our 12-year marriage," the estranged couple said in a joint statement given to TMZ. "The decision was made amicably and with mutual respect toward one another."

This is the second time Kimberly has filed for divorce from her husband. In 2012, she also attempted to dissolve her marriage, but withdrew the divorce filing a few months later. The two then separated in October of that year, and Dennis filed for divorce the next month. They later reconciled and the divorce filing was dismissed in the spring of 2013.
Kimberly's recent divorce filing comes at an awkward time, as the couple's 12th wedding anniversary is next Monday. They were married on July 4, 2004, at the 62-year-old actor's ranch in Paradise Valley, Montana. In 2007, they welcomed fraternal twins, Thomas and Zoe, born via gestational carrier.
In court docs, Kimberly is asking for spousal support and primary custody of their children.

Kimberly is Dennis' third wife. He was married to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983 and to Meg Ryan from 1991 to 2001.
In March, ET spoke with Meg and Dennis' 24-year-old son, Jack Quaid, about his famous parents. "I acknowledge fully that the way that I grew up was not normal," he said. "But at the same time, despite what my parents do, they're still a mom and a dad. They're not like characters at the dinner table. My dad has never been Jerry Lee Lewis at my graduation, nothing has gone down like that. I have perspective on it simply if all the other kids I grew up with had celebrity or actor parents, then I'd think, 'This is the world!'"
