Tyka updated a Facebook post from Friday, alerting fans to plans for a family-authorized service.
Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, updated a Facebook status that she originally posted on Friday, sharing news about a future family-authorized funeral for the late music legend.
"Update: The proposed plan is to have our Memorial/Funeral/Tribute in August more updates soon..." she wrote.

In the original post, Tyka stated that the family wanted to conduct a funeral service on April 23, but plans were scrapped at the last minute. A private memorial service was held at Prince's Paisley Park estate on that date instead, as Tyka noted "some friends had already flown into town."
The family handed out gifts to friends and fans in attendance last month, which included purple hat boxes full of heartfelt memorabilia. Prince's longtime friend and collaborator, Sheila E., told ET the intimate service was "somber" and "sad."
As ET previously reported, Tyka will not be attending Sunday's scheduled funeral at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
"Let me make myself VERY CLEAR! I nor my brother's remains will be present at any Memorial or Funeral services, until the families Memorial/Funeral/Tribute," Tyka wrote in the original post.

She also re-released a statement "for Those of U Who Would like to Celebrate Our Prince together with his family and have the opportunity to say farewell," writing:
"We would like everyone to know that, contrary to previous and current reports, there has been no memorial, funeral or tribute service for Prince that was organized or authorized by the family or Paisley Park representatives. Together, the family is planning an official memorial service and public event to take place in the near future. Prince and his music influenced so many people that we feel inspired to celebrate his life and legacy in just the right way. We appreciate the public’s patience and have been comforted by your outpouring of love, support and condolences. We look forward to sharing with the world this celebration of, and farewell to, our Prince. Details will be coming soon."
Prince died on April 21 at age 57. Many of his fans, friends and protégés have spoken out in the weeks since his death, including Sheila E., Carmen Electra, Mariah Carey, George Lopez, and Will Smith.
In addition to last month's memorial at Paisley Park, a private service organized by the "Purple Rain" singer's ex-wives, Manuela Testolini and Mayte Garcia, was held in Los Angeles on May 11.
