Sharon Osbourne found out about Ozzy's alleged affair by reading his emails, a source tells ET.
Despite Sharon Osbourne's confident appearance on The Talk on Tuesday, where the co-host said she felt "empowered" after her split from husband Ozzy Osbourne, a source close to the 63-year-old television personality tells ET she's definitely been taking it hard.
Aside from sharing three children together, Sharon is also well-known to be heavily involved in the 67-year-old Black Sabbath rocker's financial and personal affairs, making their breakup after 33 years of marriage especially difficult. Still, Sharon decided to leave Ozzy because of his alleged "emotional affair" with hairstylist Michelle Pugh, and the "double life" he's been leading, the source says. Sharon apparently found out about the affair by going through his emails.
"Sharon has put up with a lot over the course of their marriage and there have been other dramatic things that have happened with them in the past, but this is the first long-time affair Sharon has found out about," the source says. "This is an emotional affair -- it wasn't just a one-time hookup. There are feelings there between Ozzy and this woman. This is a double life he’s been leading -- and that's what upset Sharon the most and made her leave him."

As for their children -- 32-year-old Aimee, 31-year-old Kelly, and 30-year-old Jack -- our source says Kelly feels "betrayed" and is "very worried" about her mother. Interestingly enough, Aimee -- who has purposely avoided the spotlight thus far, opting to not star in the family's 2002 MTV reality show, The Osbournes -- was seen with her father in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Aimee is definitely closer to Ozzy than Sharon, our source says, but also notes that the estranged couple -- as well as Kelly and Jack -- have not been close with Aimee in recent years.
Meanwhile, though there is "a lot of anger around" when it comes to Sharon and Ozzy, there is also worry about how the two will operate without one another.
"First and foremost, Sharon is a businesswoman," the source says. "She organizes everything. She's the family glue."
"They're best friends, partners, business partners, so many things," the source adds. "That’s why this split is so hard."

On Tuesday's The Talk, Sharon confirmed that she kicked Ozzy out of their Beverly Hills, California, home, but that he's since returned.
"He's back and [now] I'm out of the house," she shared.
Sharon also admitted she's still unsure about their future together, noting that she still loves him "dearly."
"I honestly at this point today, have no idea what I'm going to be doing for the rest of my life," she confessed, getting emotional. "I don't know where I'm going, who I'm going with, and I just need time to think, and really think about myself -- about what do I really want for the rest of my life because this is, like, getting to the last chapter of this book. I really want to think about it carefully, about where I want to go."
"Because I'm 63 years of age and I can't keep living like this," she added.
