Even celebrities get starstruck, which is exactly what happened when Britney Spears got the chance to shake hands with Hillary Clinton on Thursday.
The 34-year-old pop icon, who was in Las Vegas for her Britney: Piece of Me residency show at Planet Hollywood, gushed over the Democratic presidential hopeful in a pic she posted to Instagram of their meeting.

"Being in Vegas for #PieceOfMe is amazing for so many reasons... Especially today... because I had the incredible opportunity to meet @HillaryClinton!!," Spears wrote.
The singer praised the 68-year-old former Secretary of State for being "such and inspiration and beautiful voice for women around the world!"
"This woman had an intense presence and I felt very honored to meet her," Spears concluded.

She later shared a more candid pic of her meeting with Clinton, where the two seemed to be enjoying each other's company.
Spears' post initially included the hashtag, #ImWithHer, used to denote supporters of the Clinton campaign. However, the hashtag was later removed, and the singer has not officially endorsed any candidate.
