The actor and producer revealed the dates for the final three films on Instagram.
What are you doing April 2, 2021?
Well, cancel your plans! Because that is the date the final -- at least, for now -- Fast & Furious film hits theaters. Vin Diesel, the star, producer, and apparent key holder to the franchise, confirmed as much on Instagram.

"2 Decades, 10 Films, 1 Saga," the photo says in true macho-dude dramatics, simultaneously confirming that Fast 8 will arrive April 14, 2017, with the ninth film (& 9?) on April 19, 2019 and the final installment in 2021.
It's not completely surprising news, as Vin all but confirmed as much last year.
"I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga," he posted on Facebook, before announcing that Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray would helm the eighth film with the entire cast expected to return.

Now, the real question is whether Vin will direct one of the final two films.
"I will share something crazy that my mother said six months ago after the studio had me announce the date for 8 to the world...," the actor previously posted. "'Either you direct 8 yourself... or don't do it.'" It's a rally cry that has since been picked up by the fans, who no doubt will expect Dominic Toretto himself to helm the saga's swan saga.
Meanwhile, still no word if Helen Mirren has been cast yet.
