We don't want to wait for our lives to be over. We want to know right now... will there ever be a 'Dawson's Creek' reunion?

We don't want to wait for our lives to be over. We want to know right now… will there ever be a Dawson's Creek reunion?

We're still doing a happy dance over the news that there is a Friends reunion (well, okay an almost Friends reunion) happening next month, so we've been praying to the TV gods to reunite the rest of our favorite small screen casts.

Naturally, Dawson's Creek is at the top of all our lists, so when The Insider caught up with Joshua Jackson at the premiere of his new off-Broadway show, "Smart People," on Wednesday, we asked if a return to Capeside would ever happen.

"Well, that depends, [our show creator] Kevin Williamson would have to ask," Jackson said.

The 37-year-old actor was quick to point out that there is a huge story-line hurdle that the writers would have to jump over in order to have a true Dawson's Creek reunion. "

"People always forget that Michelle Williams’ Jen character was killed off, so they really need to figure out a way around that," the Affair star explained. "I guess she could come back as a ghost, or they could do it like Dallas did and have someone wake up and find her alive in the shower 20 years later. That could work!"

Sounds like we're still going to have to wait to see Dawson and Co. back together again, but lucky New Yorkers can curb their cravings by watching Jackson in the play, "Smart People," with previews starting Jan. 26.

When asked if his wife, Diane Kruger, will be by his side on opening night next month, Jackson was quick to respond. "Well, I would hope so!" he said with a laugh. "Yes, Diane will be there."
