"You are a Stand Up Man and A True Class Act the way you went back out on the stage on live TV and took full responsibility alone," Marjorie wrote. "I am so proud to be your wife! I love you."
On Sunday night, Steve posted a pic to Instagram of him apologizing to Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach, backstage after he mistakenly announced that Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was Miss Universe. Marjorie said she too apologized to Wurtzbach.
The comedian also took to Twitter to say sorry to both contestants. "I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible," he wrote. "Secondly, I'd like to apologize to the viewers at that I disappointed as well. Again it was an honest mistake. I don't want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants. They were all amazing."
In addition to his wife, Steve also got the support of Miss Universe judge Niecy Nash. The actress spoke to ET exclusively after the pageant shocker and said she was pleased with how the host handled the gaffe.
