Katy Perry one ups Taylor Swift.
Katy Perry just earned herself some pretty amazing bragging rights.
The 31-year-old singer was just given the title of world's highest-paid musician of 2015 by Forbes magazine, beating out the likes of not only her fellow female pop stars, but also her male counterparts, such as Ed Sheeran and Dr. Dre. The magazine reports that Perry earned a whopping $135 million over the past year and credits most of her earnings to her Prismatic World Tour, estimating that she grossed more than $2 million per city. She also makes plenty of cash from her fashion endorsements, such as her big contracts with Covergirl and Claire's.
Perry previously shared her July cover of Forbes on Instagram, and made it clear that she's proud of her financial accomplishments.

"Before accepting the offer to be on the cover of Forbes, I was told that a lot of women have previously shied away from doing it," Perry wrote. "I wondered if it was because they thought socially it would look like they were flaunting or bragging or it wasn't a humble decision. Ladies, there is a difference between being humble and working hard to see the fruits of your labor blossom, and your dreams realized."
"Hopefully this cover can be an inspiration to women out there that it's okay to be proud of hard earned success and that there is no shame in being a boss," she added.
Touring is clearly the way to make the most money in the music business these days, which is why One Direction gets the number two spot with $130 million, and Garth Brooks takes the number three spot with $90 million. Swift takes the number four spot with $80 million, but could very well take the number one spot next year thanks to her insanely successful 1989 World Tour. Forbes based their ranking on income from June 2014-June 2015, so presumably, not all of Swift's earnings were taken into consideration. The magazine reports the "Wildest Dreams" singer is earning $4 million per city on her tour, doubling Perry's.
However, Swift does take the number one spot when it comes to highest-earning couple -- she and her boyfriend, DJ/producer Calvin Harris -- earned a combined $146 million during the time period taken into consideration.

ET caught up with Perry in May at the Met Gala, when she defended another high-earning female boss -- 60-year-old Kris Jenner.
"Listen, Kris Jenner is very important to me," the "Dark Horse" singer told ET. "That is not sarcastic at all. She has a great sense of humor and she's kind of like the mother of everyone. ... The Kardashians in my book are completely valid."
