Gigi Hadid calls her haters "depressed."
Gigi Hadid continues to put her haters on blast.
The 20-year-old model is British Vogue's January cover girl, looking gorgeous in a leather jacket, a simple blue and white striped sweater, and a newsboy cap. In the accompanying interview, Gigi opens up about her much talked-about figure. In September, she memorably fought back against body shamers who called her "fat" and compared her to other models after she walked the Versace runway.
"Yeah, I'm an athletic person," Gigi tells the magazine, making no apologies. "But I love my body because I know what it's been through to be what it is, and honestly I'm not going to change for someone that is depressed about their life. The Victoria's Secret Angels aren't going anywhere; I'm not going anywhere; plus-sized models aren't going anywhere."

"Yes, I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I'm not asking for special treatment," Gigi previously wrote on Instagram. "I'm fitting into the sample sizes."
Gigi talks about her massive popularity on Instagram, currently being followed by 9.2 million fans. The supermodel says the key to social media is being yourself.
"I don't change anything about myself -- what I post just works," she shares. "When people are different on social media than they are in real life, it becomes forced. Cara Delevingne was never scared of being weird. She opened that door for me."
"But I don't think I just get hired because I have Instagram followers," she stresses. "My jobs are also what gets me followers."
Gigi describes herself as "feisty," while referring to her bestie, 20-year-old Kendall Jenner, as "more guarded."
"I don't want to say outgoing, because she is really outgoing once you get to know her," Gigi dishes. "And when we're both having fun, she makes me a lot more spontaneous. It's a good balance. But neither of us likes to stay out past 11."
However, Gigi hasn't had an issue recently spending late nights out with her new boyfriend, former One Direction band member Zayn Malik. The two confirmed their couple status this past Saturday at The Nice Guy nightclub in West Hollywood, California, when they were snapped holding hands. Their outing marked the third sighting in a week of the two at the Los Angeles hot spot.

And Gigi showed a little bit of that "feisty" personality when she recently defended their relationship on Twitter, though she later deleted the tweets.
"There's just no need to be judgmental about situations that are not your own. Let live," Gigi tweeted on Monday. "Sometimes life just happens. For whatever reason in whatever timing. And sometimes it doesn't make sense til it does. That's it."
"If there was a real way to sit with each one of you and tell you my side of things, I would. But there's not, so I won't," she added. "I've found the only way to happiness is by living as though the microscope isn't there."
