When we tell you that Joe Jonas is back in the music game -- he is back in the music game.
The 26-year-old is giving little brother Nick Jonas a run for his money with his new band, DNCE (dubbed "your new favorite band" in a press release from Republic Records), introducing a crazy catchy new single. Listen to "Cake By the Ocean" on repeat below.

So good, right? (And there's F-bombs!) But what does it all mean?!
"We were at the studio, and I overheard the producers saying that they wanted to get cake by the ocean," Jonas says in the aforementioned press release. In a hilarious twist, it turns out that the Swedish producers, Mattman & Robin, had misspoken and were intending to reference the tropical cocktail, Sex on the Beach.
"That song was a total breakthrough," the singer adds. "Once we came up with 'Cake by the Ocean,' everything was electric."

The band, which also includes guitarist JinJoo Lee, bassist/keyboardist Cole Whittle, and drummer Jack Lawless, was only just formed in summer 2015 and (surprisingly) inspired by Earth, Wind & Fire and Hall & Oates. “I had this vision for about five or six years, but I took some time to hit the reset button and figure out what I wanted to do next," says Jonas.
