Beyonce gets real about her diet struggles.
The struggle is real, even for Beyonce.
The 33-year-old "Flawless" singer discussed her vegan diet in a Good Morning America segment on Monday after much hype, getting real about her own body issues growing up in the spotlight.
"I am not naturally the thinnest woman," she admitted. "I have curves, I'm proud of my curves. I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works -- keeps the weight off -- has been difficult for me."

The "Bootylicious" singer noticeably slimmed down ahead of the 2014 GRAMMY awards, and she's credited the big change in her body to her trainer and nutritionist Marco Borges. Beyonce and Jay Z famously participated in his 22 Day Nutrition challenge that has people go vegan for 22 days, the time psychologists say it takes to make or break a habit.
Borges' plan for going vegan in just three weeks includes choosing plants over processed food, eating three meals a day focusing on carbs over protein and fat, exercising for half an hour every day, and drinking plenty of water. Beyonce is such a fan that she launched a vegan meal delivery service with the celebrity trainer in February. She says that by going vegan, she's experienced plenty of other positive side effects other than dropping weight.
