Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg Get High in New 'American Ultra' Posters

Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg are reunited again!

The Adventureland stars play a couple in the upcoming American Ultra, which is about a stoner Mike (Eisenberg] who's trying to propose to his girlfriend Phobe [Stewart]. Things get complicated when she discovers he's an actual agent, and that the government is trying to wipe him out.

The posters, which MTV News debuted on Thursday, are already proving to be edgy. The two smoke what's safe to assume is pot given the movie's synopsis, to form the movie's title, American Ultra.

Also notable in the posters are the stars' hair changes. Eisenberg's straight, chin-length locks are a far cry from his usual curly 'do, while Stewart's hair is dyed a curious shade of orange.

Director Nima Nourizadeh explained her deliberate hair color choice to MTV News. "There's a kind of slightly scruffy look to her but she still looks so amazing," he says. "When you watch the movie, you know, you'll see, like, Kristen playing the character that you wouldn't expect her to necessarily. I think she’s funny. There's stuff that when you watch the movie, you go, 'Ah, that's a good one. I've never seen her like that!'"

The 25-year-old actress has indeed been showing her lighter side lately. In this recent charming interview with her pal Suzie Riemer, the two drive around in a car, where the usually stoic star visibly relaxes. Amongst other revelations, the former Twilight star reveals she's a huge Sam Smith fan, and even sings along to Ariana Grande's hit "Love Me Harder!"

American Ultra hits theaters on August 21.
