NEWS: Darren Criss to Take Over Hedwig on Broadway
Wearing glittery blue eye shadow and red lipstick, Criss embodies
Hedwig’s iconic style (and sassy attitude). The only thing missing: The blonde wig, which fans won’t
get to see until official photos are released.

Following in the heels of Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew
Rannells, Michael C. Hall, and creator John Cameron Mitchell -- who also originated
the role off Broadway and later in the popular film adaptation -- Criss has a
lot to live up to. How will he do? We won’t know until he takes the stage, but
for now, we can compare all five Hedwig looks.
So many Hedwigs!
All five got together to send off Lena Hall, who won a Tony award playing Hedwig's husband, Yitzhak, after performing on stage for nearly a year. Rebecca Naomi Jones replaced the actress, performing alongside Mitchell until Criss takes over at the end of the month.
