On The Ellen DeGeneres show on Wednesday, Ellen asked the actress about a picture of her with cabbage on her breasts.
The old wives tale is one that Amanda is following after breastfeeding her baby boy Henry who she welcomed Dec. 6 with husband David Benioff.

"Some people get painful engorgement and you can put cabbage leaves on your boobs and it stops the milk," she explained to Ellen.
And yet, her trick doesn't really work. "It's just an excuse to put cabbage on your breasts," Ellen said in response, causing Amanda to laugh.

Peet, 42, has three children with husband David Benioff, who is an executive producer on Game of Thrones. The couple has been married since 2006.
