Back in the day, the actress had a crush on the 'Tonight Show' host - except he wasn't aware!
Jimmy Fallon almost dated Nicole Kidman back in the day. Wait, what?!
Kidman appeared on Tuesday’s Tonight Show to promote Paddington, and took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about their first meeting all those years ago. Through a mutual friend, a then-single Kidman went over to Fallon’s apartment to hang out. What he didn’t know at the time was that she was open to more than just a friendship.

“I just remember I liked you,” the now-married 47-year-old actress recalled of their first encounter, which had high-end snacks like corn chips, saltine crackers, brie cheese and leftover Chinese food. “Wait… what?” a surprised Fallon said in response, later exclaiming: “Did I date Nicole Kidman?! Was that a date?!”
To further embarrass Fallon, Kidman continued her recollection of their pseudo-date. “You didn’t talk. You didn’t say anything. You were like ‘Hey, mm, mm, mm,’” she said. “So I was like, ‘Okay… so…’”

And that was it for Fallon, who took that as his cue to leave.
“We weren’t meant to be, right?” Kidman said.
“I can’t believe I dated Nicole Kidman… this is unbelievable!” a flustered Fallon later said, though Kidman heartily disagreed.
Kidman is now married to American Idol judge Keith Urban and has four children, while the 40-year-old Tonight Show host is wed to Nancy Juvonen and recently welcomed his second daughter via surrogate.
