King James broke a major rule when he met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Monday night.
LeBron James might call himself the King, but he apparently has a lot to learn about royal protocol. King James met Prince William and his wife Kate at the Barclays Center after the couple watched James’ Cleveland Cavaliers defeat the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, but the NBA superstar broke a major rule when it came time for the photo op.

James presented the royal couple with personalized Cavaliers jerseys, including one for their 1-year-old son Prince George, and then slung an arm over the Duchess of Cambridge to take a photo, a major no-no when it comes to meeting the royals.
"You are never supposed to touch a Royal Family member other than shaking hands," said ET special correspondent Victoria Arbiter. "It is considered a breach of protocol."
The royal couple may have been taken aback, but they were good sports about the whole thing.
"Kate did look a bit surprised by the gesture, but Americans are known to be a lot more touchy than the Brits, so the whole matter will most likely blow over," Arbiter said.
