Sad news for Kelly Rowland.
Kelly Rowland is mourning the death of her mother, Doris Rowland Garrison, who passed away Tuesday in Atlanta. She was 66 years old.
"She was an incredible soul who made countless sacrifices so that I could become the woman -- and now mother -- I am today," Rowland said in a statement to ET Wednesday. "We humbly appreciate all the love and support and only ask for privacy during this difficult time."
According to an E! News report, Garrison went into cardiac arrest one day prior to her passing. She is also mourned by Rowland's older brother Orlando.

The sad news comes just one month after Kelly became a mother herself, giving birth to her first child with husband and manager Tim Witherspoon -- Titan Jewell -- on Nov. 4.
Kelly's longtime BFF Beyonce shared a photo of Titan's hands on Instagram last month, congratulating her former Destiny's Child bandmate.
"There's no better feeling than holding my beautiful nephew," she wrote. "I thank god for the honor of witnessing my sisters journey into motherhood. I've always dreamt of our little ones growing up together. I'm so thankful for our bond. Baby Ty, I love you so much."

Kelly's most recent Instagram post is this black-and-white shot of her son's feet.
"The most Happiest moment of my life -- TJW!," she wrote on Nov. 27.
