Hilary Duff Sparks Romance Rumors by Sitting on Co-Star's Lap

Is Hilary Duff mixing work with pleasure?

After several sightings of her being friendly with her estranged husband Mike Comrie, Duff shared an Instagram pic that has some fans wondering if she's in a romance with her handsome Younger co-star Nico Tortorella.

The 27-year-old actress/singer shared a photo of her sitting in Tortorella's lap with his hands around her waist as they posed with a group of friends.

Once the rumor mill got hold of this pic, Duff took to Twitter to set the record straight, calling out one website in particular. She tweeted on Tuesday: "Oh Daily Mail guess u reporting(in detail I might add lol) on my lipsticks & sweaters weren't getting enough traction.go for the friends & cos."

Prior to this recent romance rumor, Duff opened up to Elle Canada about separating from her husband in Jan. 2014. "I have a good therapist! I've dealt with [attention] for such a long time. But some of the bigger struggles that came my way in the past two years -- like my separation or when my parents separated -- were the first times I had to deal with people knowing about something personal happening to my family," she told the publication.

"It just felt so invasive and insensitive. It got really gross, and I think part of you gets a bit desensitized. The best way to handle it is by just owning your sh**. I'm human and this is what happened. None of us is perfect."

No doubt Duff has a lot of admirers and one of her more vocal fans is her ex Aaron Carter. "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her," he tweeted in March. "I don't care what ANY of you think."

Carter explained his affections for Duff in an ET interview, and outlined how he thought he could "sweep her off her feet." Check it out, below.
