After a troublesome week in New York City, Amanda Bynes has returned to Los Angeles where she had been admitted to a hospital.

Us Weekly confirms that immediately after landing at LAX, the 28-year-old was rushed to a hospital in Pasadena, Calif. and placed on a psychiatric hold for a second time. According to TMZ, Amanda was under the impression that her driver was taking her to The London hotel in West Hollywood but she was instead driven to the facility where she was met by her parents. The psychiatric hold will reportedly last for at least 72 hours but could be extended to 14 days.

NEWS: Amanda Bynes Claims She Really Is Engaged

This follows a bizarre series of tweets in which Bynes accused her father of sexually abusing her as a child. However, she deleted those claims, explaining, "The microchip in my brain made me say those things."

Bynes' mother Lynn also responded to the rant.

"I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years. Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for," she said in a statement to ET through her lawyer. "He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way."

She then fled to New York City where she exhibited increasingly bizarre behavior that culminated in her claims against her father.
