While she might be best known for her role in Back to the Future, ET first met Thompson on the Pennsylvania set of All the Right Moves.
"I feel really excited to see all these people out here," Thompson told us in 1983. "And all the extras that we have used have been really happy for the opportunity to work and to work on the movie."
In the movie, Thompson has a love scene with Tom Cruise, which set the bar high as far as love scenes go, but Cruise wasn't the only handsome guy that Thompson would hook up with on screen. Three years later, Thompson shared a steamy scene with Howard the Duck.
"He's a sexy duck," Thompson said at the time. "He's very cute."

Before cuddling up to a duck, Thompson got dangerously close to Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future, which might have been her toughest role.
"There was a great challenge in Back to the Future because I was the old lady and really drunk, then I got to be the young '50s girl," said Thompson. "That was a real nice challenge but then I got really tired of [it]."
The 53-year-old actress has been very busy lately rehearsing for Dancing with the Stars, which is the perfect fit for Thompson who has been in more than 20 ballets. She also stars on ABC Family's Switched At Birth, which has been renewed for Season 4.
