Looks like Aaron Carter's plans to sweep ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff "off her feet" are not exactly going as planned.
Hilary, 26, recently sat down with BuzzFeed in Sydney, Australia, where she's promoting her new music, and was asked about Aaron wanting her back.
The two dated when they were just 13 years old, and after she split from husband Mike Comrie in January, Aaron took to social media to state his case for the former Lizzie McGuire star.

"Absolutely," he also told ET in April when asked point-blank if he still loved Hilary. "I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today, but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong."
"That wasn't meant for the media or anybody like that…I didn't think about it really. I wasn't really looking for [a response] either," he added. "I'm sure she got the message."
And clearly, she did ... only it's more than a little awkward.
"I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that," she told BuzzFeed about his public declarations of love. "I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just … Yeah, don’t know each other … so … yeah."
When the reporter candidly declared that "it was weird," Hilary didn't exactly disagree.
"You said it, not me!" she joked.
Judging from the video below, perhaps Aaron needs to change his tactics a little?
