Jennette McCurdy is coming for Ariana Grande.
You can't turn on a radio without Ariana Grande belting at you, but who is she really?
The chart-topping 21-year-old singer covers the latest issue of Billboard magazine and dishes all about the misconceptions people have about her good-girl image.
"I think people see me as a little cutesy thing. But I'm literally the most sardonic person you've ever met," she says.

The Problem singer surprisingly describes herself as "a very weird little girl" growing up in Boca Raton Fla., who was "dark and deranged."
"I always wanted to have skeleton face paint on or be wearing a Freddy Krueger mask, and I would carry a hockey stick around. I was like a mini-Helena Bonham Carter," she says. "For my fifth birthday party we had a Jaws theme and all my friends left crying. I mean, I still am that way. But when I was little it was more concerning. There was a stage, when I was 3 or 4, where my mom thought I might grow up to be a serial killer."
Though according to her Sam & Cat co-star Jennette McCurdy's web series What's Next for Sarah? -- which McCurdy writes and stars in -- Arana is a lot more like your typical vapid pop star.
Throwing some obvious shade at Ariana, a character named "Gloriana" appears in the third episode of McCurdy's series. Gloriana is obviously a not-so-subtle dig at Ariana, right down to the fact that she's vegan and shares a similar fashion sense, pony tail and all.

She later got even more obvious about the diss with Perez Hilton -- who referenced Ariana's brother Frankie -- in the following Twitter conversation.
@jennettemccurdy It was super funny!!! Can I be in an upcoming episode? I can be #Gloriana's obnoxious gay brother! Ha
