4 Times Jason Momoa Was Really Intimidating Without Even Trying

By Zach Seemayer

8:00 AM PDT, July 9, 2014

Sure Jason Momoa is a scary dude when he's wielding murder daggers as Khal Drogo on Game Of Thrones, or swinging a broadsword over his head in the remake of Conan The Barbarian-- but dressed in a cowboy hat, a button-down denim shirt and dirty cargo khakis? Yup, still super intimidating.

Jason walked the press line outside An Evening With Jason Momoa - a screening of his upcoming film Road To Paloma hosted by 92nd Street Y in New York City – and he just looked like a warrior king. Maybe it's his towering size or his rugged manliness that puts all other celebs to shame – or maybe it's the way his eyes pierce your soul like burning spears – but no matter what he's doing, you're pretty sure he could destroy you.

Even before we spotted these intimidating poses at Tuesday night's event, Momoa had some pretty strong words for GoT author George R.R. Martin, whose books-turned-TV series killed off his character in the first season. "After George Martin killed me, I was like 'go f**k yourself,'" Momoa told The Huffington Post with a smile. "I'm joking. But after George killed me, I was really upset. I went to go get the book at Barnes and Noble and I was bummed that I was dead. But it's brilliant writing."

Dukes Up

Sure he looks playful, but he could knock your head off your shoulders with just one punch.

Predator Smile

That's the smile of a man who has consumed the hearts of his vanquished enemies. Maybe just once, back in college, to see what it was like, but he's done it. (Editor's Note: There is no evidence Jason Momoa has eaten any human hearts.)

What Are You Going To Do About It?

He's just too cool to stay scared of him forever.
