Alec Baldwin was hauled away in handcuffs on Tuesday morning in New York City.
The 56-year-old 30 Rock star was taken into custody after he was caught riding his bike down Fifth Avenue the opposite direction of traffic and for "disorderly conduct," a NYPD spokesperson confirms to ET.

Baldwin's rep did not confirm the "disorderly conduct" but did tell ET that he was riding his bicycle on the wrong side and did not have his ID on him. A source for ET insists the actor was not arrested nor charged with a crime, but rather received a summons relating to the bicycle incident and had to be transported to the precinct in handcuffs because he didn't have his ID.
InTouch Weekly obtained a photograph of the arrest.
The actor has since left the precinct.
UPDATE: Baldwin tweeted following being taken into custody:
Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave

New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.
