Your favorite characters reunited in Las Vegas to be accepted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame, where Nancy O'Dell caught up with the stars and reminisced about the show's nascent stages.
A 1996 interview we did with Ray after the show's debut reminded the show's star that he had concerns about the show being good.
"I had just gotten fired from another show," Ray remembered.
"To be honest, for me it was about the fifth or sixth episode when I really felt, 'Boy, there's something cool going on,'" Ray continued.
Another tidbit -- Ray revealed that he initially didn't want the show to be titled Everybody Loves Raymond. He shared with us his ideas for alternate names such as Um, Raymond and Raymond's Tree.
