George Clooney's dad Nick talks to ET about his son's recent engagement.
Looks like George Clooney's new fiancée Amal Alamuddin has already gotten the approval of one very important person in George's life -- his father, journalist Nick Clooney.
"We are very happy for them," Nick, 80, tells ET about the recent engagement. "She is a lovely girl."

Adding that this is all George's parents will be commenting on the news, he explained, "It's their day."
News broke Saturday that the notorious bachelor, 52, proposed to his lawyer girlfriend, Amal, 36. The couple was first rumored to be dating in October 2013.
Though Clooney's rep has no comment, Amal's law firm, Doughty Street Chambers, confirmed the news Monday with their own statement.
"The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married," the statement said.
And clearly, her co-workers have nothing but praise for the British beauty.
