Wife of Cuba Gooding Jr. files for legal separation.
Cuba Gooding Jr.'s wife Sara Kapfer has filed for a legal separation from the actor after 20 years of marriage.
Kapfer, a school teacher, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and lists a separation date of April 16, 2014, according to court papers obtained to ET.
She asked for joint custody of the couple's two minor children -- Mason, 17, and Piper, 8.
The 46-year-old Jerry Maguire star met Kapfer as a teenager and the two were high school sweethearts.
