'View' Host Jenny McCarthy On Criticism and Career
Beautiful comedienne and recent addition to The View Jenny McCarthy rocked a gorgeous black Moschino dress to celebrate the Moschino Loves Disaronno event in New York on Wednesday, and spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the event, her time on The View, and what she's gone through during her long career.
"I think I haven't gone without criticism since my career started," McCarthy said of recent reports since becoming a host on the popular ABC daytime talk show. "To launch your career as a Playboy playmate… that was my best school to learn how to deal with criticism."

But the backlash against her by some isn't going to deter her from doing what she loves, and working on projects that excite her.
"I've been in this business for 20 years, and I'm a single mom," McCarthy said. "So to have a full-time job is awesome. But also to do what I love, like, there's nothing better than being you're authentic self. And since reality television is not real anymore, the best place you can find it is daytime talk, and I feel like The View, because we're live and we keep it real and very topical, you're going to see some authentic TV, and I feel that brand fits with me."
The event itself was to celebrate the collaboration between Italian fashion house Moschino and the popular amaretto liqueur Disaronno. For this particular pairing, the fashion minds at Moschino redesigned the iconic Disaronno bottle in a red and black color scheme, adorned with Moschino's signature red-heart pattern.

But it's all for a good cause. Portions of the profits from the sale of the Moschino Loves Disaronno product line will be donated to Fashion 4 Development, a charity dedicated to supporting the work of talented designers in Africa.
