Davis: A Third 'SATC' Film Would Be Fantastic
ET recently sat down with former Sex and the City star Kristin Davis to talk about her work saving endangered elephants with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, in which she also talked about the recent 15th anniversary of the beloved HBO series, and admitted that she would absolutely love to do a third Sex and the City film.
"I would want to do it," Davis smiles. "I'm on record -- I'll be on record again -- I feel like it's the gift that keeps on giving. Our fans are beautiful and loyal and talk to me wherever I go, and in whatever country I'm in, and that means a lot to all of us. So if the situation arose where we had a script and everyone loved it, and the studio wanted to make it, I think that it would be fantastic and I hope it happens but I have no idea if it will happen."

An upbeat Davis was happy to share her obvious passion for working with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which rescues orphan elephants and hand-rears them before reintroducing them back into the wild.
"Right now we're in this crisis moment where every 15 minutes an elephant is killed for its ivory. If we keep going at the rate we are now, elephants will be extinct in the wild in 12 years," Davis explains. "It's so shocking and it makes no sense. ... Never buy ivory. It is illegally funding terrorism, sex trafficking, drugs -- every bad thing you can imagine -- because ivory is in such demand, and if it wasn't in so much demand, they wouldn't be killing the elephants. So don't buy ivory is my main thing to say."
Davis, who adopted her daughter Gemma Rose in 2011, shares that she's currently in a good place in her life because of a sense of calmness that comes with getting older.
"First of all, it's nice to be a little older," the youthful-looking 48-year-old actress says. "I know that may be strange to say in our culture, but you know when you're younger, and you're striving and you don't know if you're gonna make it, and then we had this tremendous experience with Sex and the City, and it gave us this worldwide fan base that we never expected, and it's just more success than I ever thought I would have. It gives you a really kind of settled feeling like, 'Wow, it really all worked out. I am so, so lucky.' And then to have adopted my daughter and to have that go well, you feel like, 'I am so, so lucky.'"
