Barbara Walters Reveals Last Day On 'The View'
ABC broadcast legend Barbara Walters has set her retirement date.
The 84-year-old journalist will make her final appearance on The View as a co-host on May 16, 2014. Following her exit, there will be a two-hour special later that night devoted to Walters, "highlighting her life and career."

Walters has suffered a few health scares this past year -- in January she was hospitalized for a fall at the home of the British ambassador in Washington, D.C. that slightly injured her head, and she also revealed she was suffering from another illness -- chicken pox.
Walters isn't the first longtime co-host to leave The View recently. Joy Behar announced she was leaving the show in March 2013 after 16 years, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck also took a job at FOX News.
