Miley Cyrus Releases Video for New Single 'Malibu' -- Watch!
Miley Cyrus is glowing.
The 24-year-old singer released her highly anticipated new song, "Malibu," on Thursday, as well as the accompanying video. The pop jam is definitely a feel-good track, and the video features Miley enjoying nature in a series of all-white, flowy outfits -- a clear departure from her aesthetic in hits like "Wrecking Ball" and "We Can't Stop."
Miley sings about a happy relationship in the love song, as well as their ideal setting in sunny Malibu, California.
"Now I'm as free as birds catching the wind," she sings at one point.
Miley will be giving her first televised performance of her new single at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 21, on ABC.
ET sat down with Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, on Monday in celebration of the 25th anniversary of "Achy Breaky Heart," where he talked about his daughter getting sober and her musical transition.
"You know what I like about the way she looks [now?] Happy," he said. "You have even seen it. A month or two [ago] she sent me a picture and I said, 'You look so happy.' I'm here [as her dad], and she's beaming with happiness. That means more to me than anything. That's what I want Miley to look like -- happy."
He's also a big fan of her new single.
"I'm so excited about this album," he gushed. "Miley really leaned into her roots with this new album, 'Malibu' in particular."
