After weeks of speculation, Madonna officially confirmed that she will be hitting the GRAMMYs for what we’re hoping will be an unforgettable performance at the 57th annual awards show, taking place Feb. 8.

— Madonna (@Madonna) January 13, 2015Madonna’s GRAMMY performance will come just one year after she graced the stage with Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert for a moving performance of “Same Love” and “Open Your Heart."
Over the holidays, Madonna dropped six new songs on iTunes following leaks of in-progress demos, and she revealed to Billboard that “a few more songs are going to come out during the time of the GRAMMYs.”

She had also hinted at the time that a GRAMMY visit wasn’t off the table, alluding to a performance of “Living for Love,” her first single off forthcoming album Rebel Heart, was “possibly” in the cards.
However, the pop icon hasn’t been safe from criticism, drawing some backlash over Instagram pics of pop-culture and historical figures such as Marilyn Monroe, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. with their faces wrapped in black cords, a la her Rebel Heart cover – images she has since apologized (sort of) for.
Rebel Heart is expected to be released in early March.
