At a concert in North Carolina, Kelly Clarkson broke out an incredible 'Stay With Me' cover.
It seems like everyone is a huge Sam Smith fan!
At a recent concert in Charlotte, North Carolina, Grammy-winning singer Kelly Clarkson surprised the audience with her own beautiful rendition of Smith's soulful chart-topper "Stay With Me."
Video of the performance was captured by a fan in the inexplicably relaxed, calm audience (Seriously, were they handing out Ambien? Sure, it's not a heavy metal concert, but some of these people were full-on asleep).

The video has spread quickly since being posted online, which can only be good news for Clarkson, who revealed in September that she would be releasing a new album in early 2015.
@CraziChrista Yes.I'm so proud of my next album!Might have a special guest on the album ....maybe :) Doesn't come out until early next year.

The American Idol alum also disclosed that her upcoming project "might have a special guest…" Could that special guest be Sam Smith? There is literally no way to tell, but her cover was really good so everybody should cross their fingers and wish really, really hard.
However, sometimes a cover is just a cover. Before singing "Stay With Me," Clarkson also sang "Don't You Wanna Stay" which she originally recorded with country artist Jason Aldean.

"I just like the word 'stay' in songs," the 32-year-old singer joked to her fans. "So I'm going to sing every song with 'stay.'"
No word on when she'll bust out her renditions of Rihanna's "Stay", Taylor Swift's "Stay Beautiful" or The Clash classic "Should I Stay Or Should I Go."
