The "Something Bad" singer leads the pack of this year's contenders.

She may be the only woman up for Entertainer of the Year, but Miranda Lambert is still showing the boys how it's done.

The "Something Bad" singer leads the pack of this year's CMA Awards contenders with nine nominations in seven categories, matching a personal best she previously set in 2010. Also up for Entertainer of the Year is Lambert's husband Blake Shelton, last year's winner George Strait, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan.

Darius Rucker and Little Big Town made the announcement live on Good Morning America on Wednesday.

Many fans were left scratching their heads at Jason Aldean's apparent snub. The "Burning It Down" singer has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year for the last three years running, but has yet to take home the trophy. In years past, the eligibility period to be nominated for a CMA Award runs from July 1 of the previous year to June 30 of the current year. In that case, Aldean's latest single just missed the cut-off by a few weeks (July 22, 2014) while his last album, Night Train, out October 16, 2012, was eligible only for last year's ceremony.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are confirmed to return for a seventh time as hosts of this year's ceremony. The 48th Annual CMA Awards air live from Nashville on ABC on November 5.
