In what just might be the newest catchy song of the summer, Hilary Duff's "Chasing the Sun" is here. This being Duff's first song in seven years, you can imagine how excited we are to have the "Come Clean" singer back in our lives!

The upbeat song leaked today after Duff promoted it this past weekend with airplane messages in the sky.

"Catching the Sun" was co-written by Toby Gad, Colbie Caillat and Jason Reeves. The song will not be released for download until tomorrow, and the VEVO music video is also scheduled to debut then.
In a statement to the press, Duff spoke about her new song, "I took a break from music for quite awhile, [and] it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully. 'Chasing the Sun' is a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree."
