Taylor Swift gives some cute love advice to a fan.
It's no secret that Taylor Swift has been through a lot of relationship drama when it comes to her famous romances with the likes of John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal and One Direction's Harry Styles, but now she's passing on some wise advice to a fan who reached out to the superstar via Instagram.
The Swiftie in question named Hannah recently asked the 22 singer for advice when it comes to a guy she "has the biggest crush in the whole wide world on" but unfortunately has a girlfriend, and Taylor surprisingly wrote back with an in-depth response about the importance of "unrequited love."

"There's a guy Taylor, a guy who's sweet and charming and makes me laugh," Hannah writes. " ... A guy who I have the biggest crush in the whole wide world on, and he'll never like me back. (And he has a girlfriend who he adores and she's pretty and has an amazing figure and is actually nice to me). @taylorswift can you give me some advice maybe. I love you."
"I think unrequited love is just as valid as any other kind," Taylor, 24, responded. "It's just as crushing and just as thrilling. No matter what happens in this situation, I want you to remember that what you are doing is selfless and beautiful and kind. You are loving someone purely because you love them, not because you think you'll ever have your affections reciprocated. You are admiring something for its beauty, without needing to own it. Feel good about being the kind of person who loves selflessly. I think someday you'll find someone who loves you in that exact same way."
Taylor herself has admittedly had some firsthand experience with an unrequited crush.
In 2011, Swift wrote Enchanted about meeting Owl City singer Adam Young, though the two never dated.
Though luckily for Taylor, the feelings turned out to be mutual.
