The country superstar says that when it comes to music and fashion, she likes a 'rough around the edges' feel.
We all know Miranda Lambert as a kick-ass country girl with a signature laid back style, but she's channeling a little bit of Marilyn Monroe these days.
After all, it's only fitting to name check the iconic actress in Lambert's aptly titled album Platinum.
"I think Marilyn's an icon to pretty much everyone," Lambert tells Style Files on Radio.com. "Who wouldn't want to look like Marilyn Monroe?"
And while you're not likely to see Lambert rocking any flowing white dresses on stage, you may have noticed her honey blonde hair has been lightened a touch and she's got plenty of bling to go around. (We love the "Platinum" nameplate she's rockin' in this video!)
"There's never a more comfortable moment for me than being in jeans and a t-shirt," Lambert said of her own personal style. "Especially when I'm performing, I can just do my job better if I can move around and not worry about anything hanging out and showing."
We love Lambert dressed down or dressed up for a red carpet. To wit: Lambert looked the part of a gorgeous rock star as she hit the CMT Awards red carpet last month in a glittering, V-neck mini dress.
"I love the kind of rough around the edges feel in music and in clothes," Lambert told Style Files.
