"Justin Timberlake was Timbaland's idea and they came up with a different version of Love Never Felt So Good," Reid told ET's Rocsi Diaz. "We released both versions."
Both copies will both be featured on MJ's posthumous album, Xscape, dropping May 13.
"I'm impressed with Justin Timberlake. This is a different type of artist," said Reid. "I have to say I haven't worked with many artists that impress me with his level of intellect."
In JT's episode of Oprah's Master Class, premiering Sunday on OWN, fans get a peek into what makes the Grammy winner tick.
"The idea that something worth having is worth putting all of yourself into it -- practice, rehearsal, working on it when no one's looking," the pop singer said in an advance clip. "So that when you step on that stage you're ready."
