EXCLUSIVE: Johnny Depp Says He Would Tell His Younger Self to 'Get Out of This Business Immediately'

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' star spoke with ET at the movie's Shanghai premiere on Thursday.

Johnny Depp has lived a lot of life.

ET caught up with the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star at the film's Shanghai premiere on Thursday, where the 53-year-old actor revealed that the advice he would give his younger self would be to chart out a different career path!

"I would have said get out of this business immediately," Depp said with a laugh. "No, I would."

And even if younger Johnny would have stuck it out with acting, Depp said he would just tell himself to buckle up.

"I would have said, 'Get ready, it's gonna get weird,'" he shared.

Well, that's certainly not bad advice.

The latest installment of the franchise finds Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow confronting his old nemesis, Armando Salazar, and his Spanish Navy ghost crew.
