Will the 30-year-old reprise his role as Edward Cullen?
Will the Twilight film franchise live on as long as vampire Edward Cullen? Robert Pattinson isn't necessarily opposed to the idea.
The 30-year-old actor -- who famously played Edward in the five films opposite his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart -- responded to rumors of a possible Twilight reboot, and he was pretty optimistic about doing more with the storyline. "Really, they're expanding it? So I'll get my own spinoff?" he quipped during an interview with Yahoo. "I mean, I’m always kind of curious."
"Anything where there’s a mass audience -- or seemingly an audience for it -- I always like the idea of subverting people’s expectations," Pattinson added. "So there could be some radical way of doing it, which could be quite fun. It’s always difficult when there’s no source material. But, yeah, I’m always curious."
In a recent interview with London's Sunday Times, Stewart -- who played Bella Swan in the movies -- opened up about her relationship with Pattinson, off screen. "When I was dating Rob, the public were the enemy -- and that is no way to live," the 26-year-old actress explained. "[Twilight] shaped me enormously. Not just those movies, but the subsequent effect."
