And what's going on with Prince Charming's bulge?
Everyone knows the age-old story: Cinderella’s fairy godmother turns a pumpkin into a carriage, three mice into horses, and takes Cinderella's regular waist and uses magic* to make it very, very tiny.
*Except magic in 2015 is Photoshop and that’s what people are claiming Disney used after seeing Lily James waist in their live-action version of Cinderella, the latest reboot to come out of The Mouse House (the next is Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle. You might want to pay attention to this, Watson).
This is how James’ waist appears in the film. Has it been digitally altered?
An in-house illustrator at Buzzfeed, Loryn Brantz, was the first to call out Disney. “As a professional artist and animator, who has studied the female figure and altered Disney Princesses on a regular basis -- it is in my expert opinion that Lily James’ waistline was definitely altered with CGI," she claims. "Unless she ‘waist trained’ for a year before the movie, which is unlikely.”

Brantz wasn’t alone. Twitter was sufficiently WTF-ing after watching the trailer:
For comparison, here is what James’ waist looks like in real life, on the red carpet at today’s premiere during the Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin:
And another picture from a recent event that she posted on her Instagram:
A Disney source told Buzzfeed News, “Lily’s waist hasn’t been altered (in the film or in any stills/marketing materials) -- she’s wearing a corset.” Lily James’ agent confirmed this, and another source tells ETonline after seeing the movie, it did not look altered.

Meanwhile, a different subset of the Internet is focusing on a different body part: Richard Madden’s (a.k.a. Robb Stark from Game of Thrones) bulge. Here is the super bulgy promotional photo next to how he appears in the movie:
His fairy godmother has been very generous. Prince Charming, indeed.
