Feig, whose streak of recent hits includes Bridesmaids and The Heat, confirmed on Twitter today that he will indeed direct the reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise. And this time, it’s ladies only.
It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call.

When rumors originally surfaced that Ghostbusters might get the reboot treatment, original star Bill Murray suggested some women to fill the roles: "Melissa [McCarthy] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny...I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there."
